Your neighbors. Your protectors. The Sargents Volunteer Fire Department has guarded this mountain community through every emergency, every season, every night.
"Serving the high country since our founding"
In the heart of Colorado's White River National Forest, Sargents has always been a community that looks out for itself. When the call comes — whether it's a structure fire on Hicks Avenue, a vehicle accident on Highway 13, or a rescue in the backcountry — the Sargents Volunteer Fire Department answers.
Our department is made up entirely of volunteers — teachers, ranchers, shop owners, and families who live and work right here in Sargents. They train relentlessly, maintain their equipment with pride, and show up at any hour without hesitation. This isn't a job for them. It's a commitment to the people and place they call home.
